Carnality as we have come to understand is a life lived at a soul level with little or no regard to Holy Spirit who is to give life and strength to our human spirit. The scriptures put it this way “To be carnally minded is death ( Rom 8:6 ), Live in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the sinful desires of the flesh (Gal 5:16 ),  the works of the flesh are obvious (Gal 5: 19).

Our thoughts, choices and emotions are more influenced by the seen reality rather that the unseen. These aspects more often rely on human opinions, philosophies and experiences to define what is good and right.

When we turned to God, we started battle of truth verses lies, spirit verses the flesh, the world versus the spirit. Healing of our soul is a journey to dislodge the soul from the leading position and allow the spirit to take lead.

How do we do that in a practical way?  How do we connect with God’s emotions, thoughts and choices?

The other question is, are we willing to hold on the truth and face the sneering of the world at what may look confused emotions, foolish thoughts or unreasonable choices?

This is what defines healthy emotions and thoughts for God’s children. The alignment with godly emotions and mindsets certainly addresses physical emotional and mental struggles and the resulting conditions such as stress, fear and anxiety, panic attacks and sleep disorders, depression etc.
