Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His faithful love endures forever.
Let the redeemed of the Lord proclaim that He has redeemed them from the hand of the foe and has gathered them from the lands —from the east and the west, from the north and the south.
Psalm 107:13, HCSB

As I was reading Psalms, the above verses jumped out at me. We need to give thanks, and proclaim how God has redeemed us! Psalm 106:7 says, "Our fathers in Egypt did not grasp the significance of Your wonderful works or remember Your many acts of faithful love; instead, they rebelled by the sea - the Red Sea." And Psalm 107:43 says, "Let whoever is wise pay attention to these things and consider the Lord's acts of faithful love."

We don't want to be foolish and forget and rebel against the Lord! We need to be wise and pay attention! I find it can be easy to just go on with the things in my life, but if I take the time to stop and remember all the things that God has done, to thank Him for it, and to tell others about the wonderful things He has done, it boosts my faith and my emotions! It is so good for us to remember all that God has done. It helps us to know that He will continue to be faithful as he has been in the past. There is nothing like praising God for all the things He has brought us through to help us remember that He is able to get us through what we are facing now!

Some of my Facebook friends are very good at this, some post daily what they are thankful for, others are posting stories of how God came through miraculously in hard times. I love to read their posts because they really encourage me!

When we are around uplifting people, it is good for us. So let's be people who are building up and encouraging each other. Let's remember what God has done and thank Him for it and tell others about it! We will bring glory to God and live the way that He intended us to live when we remember!
