Jesus welcomed the people, taught them about the Kingdom of God and healed those in need. Luke 9:11

Seeds of the Kingdom

For You!

by Tracy Bankuti

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
Romans 15:4, NIV

Hope is all about the future. When a person loses sight of their future, due to difficult circumstances, hardships, poverty, chronic illness or challenges that are beyond their control, hopelessness can sneak in and a season of darkness or dryness can overshadow their lives. If you currently find yourself in a season that is challenging, and you feel hopelessness looming, may the living word of God be your encouragement today, giving you the strength to endure, lighting your way and making known to you the great mystery which is ‘Christ in you, the hope of glory’ (Colossians 1:27b).

“For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).
‘Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life’ (Proverbs 13:12).
‘And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us’ (Romans 5:5).
‘Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see’ (Hebrews 11:1).
‘Consequently, faith comes through hearing the message and the message is heard through the word of Christ’ (Romans 10:17).
‘Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in Your law(word)’ (Psalm 119:18).
‘Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path’ (Psalm 119:105).
‘Why are you so downcast O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Saviour and my God’ (Psalm 42:5).
‘We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure’ (Hebrews 19a).
‘He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me’ (Psalm 23:53-4).
‘Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you’ and ‘The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged’ (Deuteronomy 31:6 & 8).
‘So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”’ (Hebrews 13:6).
‘But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint’ (Isaiah 41:31).
‘May the God of hope, fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit’ (Romans 15:13).

Prayer: God of hope, thank You for Your powerful word that sustains a weary soul. I reject and rebuke the hopelessness in Jesus’ name and I receive Your word of truth and welcome You to breath life into my spirit, soul and body today, in Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen.
