Paul Ryan
Director of Ellel Ministries Australia (Sydney)
Paul is the Centre Director of Gilbulla, the Ellel Ministries centre near Sydney, Australia.
Before joining Ellel Ministries, Paul spent 12 years as a registered valuer. He planted a church, where he was senior pastor for 8 years as he combined part-time theological studies with leading and growing a congregation within a mainstream denomination. The pastoral struggles on the front-line eventually led Paul to discover Ellel and a growing relationship with this work developed.
After spending 2 years training in the UK at Ellel’s international headquarters, the Ryans returned to Australia in 2002 to help establish Gilbulla, which was Ellel Ministries’ first Australian centre. Paul became the Centre Director in 2008.
His passionate desire is to see believers have their character blockages removed so they can discover their true identity in Christ and thus pursue their God-given destiny. Paul's challenging yet humorous teaching style comes with vulnerability and honesty, powerfully conveying biblically based kingdom truths. Paul is a keen fisherman and outdoors person. He is married to Joanne, who assists in leadership at Gilbulla. They have a growing number of grandchildren.
