I went to an Ellel course because I had struggled with depression for years. There seemed to be no tangible reason for it but despite prayer, fasting, repentance, a holy lifestyle, nothing shifted this dark cloud. God knew just what I needed and set me up with a lovely old couple who were able to minister to me as a mother and father. In the culmination of a 2day retreat they prayed for me, hugging me like "parents" and asking for forgiveness on behalf of my earthly parents who had divorced when I was two years old! I felt like my heart was literally being put back together and broken pieces were being sealed back together. It was an unforgettable experience that changed my life forever!
