You are Mine

The Lord who created you O Israel says, “Don’t be afraid, for I have ransomed you: I have called you by name; you are mine”
Isaiah 43:1, LB

One of the most precious things in life is to ‘belong’. To be part of family, to know there is someone who cares for you, and to have a name and an identity. You can see it on the faces of some children. Their expression says – I know who I am. But on others they’re not really sure who they are or indeed where they belong.

Many people come to Ellel Centres seeking healing or searching for God but others come searching for who they really are. When they meet the Lord and find out who He created them to be in relationship to Him as the Father, it’s very much part of their healing. There’s amazing joy and relief in discovering that they’re an important part of God’s family.

So overflowing is His kindness towards us that He took away all our sins, through the blood of his Son, by whom we are all saved (Ephesians 1:7, NKJ).

The Lord wants you to know, as a child of His - ‘You are not alone, I am watching over your coming and going, over every valley and mountain and every hard place. I have engraved you upon the palms of my hands. You may feel insignificant, one who is never noticed and fails in life, but I am your Shepherd and you are more precious to Me than gold so take comfort in knowing that I am with you. You are in My family and you are Mine’.

I’m sure that Heaven must have wondered what the thief on the cross was doing in Paradise with Jesus, on that resurrection day. I’m sure Jesus would have said something like – ‘It’s alright, he’s with me, he’s mine’. And when I stand in the last day, will Jesus say the same about me – ‘I have redeemed you, you are mine’.

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us that we should be called the Children of God
(1 John 3:1).

Prayer: Lord, I praise You so much for redeeming my life and adopting me into Your family. Thank You for the Holy Spirit’s assurance that I belong to you, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
