Jesus welcomed the people, taught them about the Kingdom of God and healed those in need. Luke 9:11
Testimony
Before the weekend I was completely unable to accept a part of the Lordship prayer where we acknowledge the Lord's control over "the manner and timing of my death". I needed or wanted an "out", to be able to control this for myself..... Read More...

Sin – Not a Popular Subject!

by David Cross

Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.
1 John 3:4, NAS

Sin is a belief or behaviour which opposes God`s commands. It`s not a popular subject in the world today, because it requires belief in divine law as the arbiter of what is right, external to man`s own reason. Humanism and man`s rights have largely replaced the biblical notion of sin for determining justice.

Without an external plumb line, a wall can’t be assessed for vertical straightness. So it is with man, that without the plumb line of God`s truth regarding sin, there’s no way to determine what’s truly right or wrong. The Bible tells us that sin not only places mankind outside of the covenant protection of God, but it can also lead to spiritual slavery, and even demonic bondage.

All human disorder is rooted in the corporate sin of mankind since the fall. The good news is that God has provided an answer, through His Son Jesus. All the spiritual cost of sin has been met by Him at the cross. If we accept that He represented us there, and if we confess the truth of our sin, we can stand completely forgiven, we`re able to be cleansed from all the unrighteousness that`s affecting our lives.

Prayer: Thank You Jesus. You didn`t sin, but were willing to be punished on behalf of all of us, who have sinned, so we can go free. You`ve rightly been called the friend of sinners, but the enemy of sin. Amen.
