Understanding Generational Iniquity and Soul Ties

This one day practical ministry course will explore ways in which we can be affected through unseen spiritual ties to people - either from our own life's experiences or generationally. Giving a biblical foundation to these, we will then look at how Jesus can set us free.

Soul Ties - God designed relationships as central to our very existence. These relationships should ecnourage growth, support, love and mutual respect, reflecting the heart of God to each other. When this happens, healthy soul ties are formed between people.

When there are ungodly aspects to relationships (consider fear, control or abuse as examples), the enemy can bring pain and defilement and ungodly ties can develop. Do you feel emotionally stuck, controlled or tied to pain from the past? Are you unable to let go of someone who hurt you, even after separation? If so, you may still be tied to them through unseen spiritual bonds.

Generational Iniquity – No person can blame their ancestors for their own sins. However, Scripture does strongly suggest that due to an ancestor's sin, a spiritual pressure can result which can produce a tendency for an individual to sin in the same area as those in their family line. For example: do you struggle with certain behaviour patterns, addicitions or emotions you recognise in previous family members? Our past may have affected us, but it does not have to define our future.

This event is designed to be a practical ministry course, with an opportunity for limited prayer ministry made available, where participants can respond to the teaching offered, allowing Jesus to bring healing and restoration to any Generational Iniquity or Soul Ties issues we may be carrying.
