Principles for Care & Prayer Ministry

This interactive course looks at what is involved in training and equipping people to be effective in prayer ministry. It looks at key biblical principles from the ministry of Jesus which help in understanding how to better minister to the Body of Christ. Ellel Ministries' many years of global experience in ministering and praying for people on every continent and from every culture is encapsulated in one very effective weekend's teaching.

This course would suit those in church leadership who wish to test the soundness and practice of our ministry methods, and also learn how to create safe effective ministry teams within churches. Essential skills

Essential communication skills, such as attentive listening, developing sensitivity and how to ask questions are highlighted. Who we are and our heart attitudes are more important than what we know. Together we will discuss relational skills and there will be opportunities to use them in practical workshops.

Qualities and character needed in prayer ministry

The important personal qualities and characteristics we need, as well as the merits and dynamics of ministering with others.

Ingredients of the process of prayer ministry

Aspects like recognising a problem, discerning the root causes, areas for prayer and ongoing biblical discipleship. 

Difficulties encountered

Commonly encountered challenges, such as people's defence mechanisms, along with suggestions about to how to deal with these in love.

Setting boundaries

Covers issues like being aware of our own vulnerabilities and the need for accountability.
