‘We Are’

From my early days of living in Him, with Him, and until today, as a missionary to Eastern Europe, I’ve seen His capable hands at work. I’m in awe of Him, my Father, the One who loved me when no one else would. He rescued me. He loved me.
‘We are’ ... because of His love ... ‘we are’. Such a wonderful revelation of the huge capacities of our God! With words of life, He breathed clarity into the most obscure places in me, and I’m reminded over and over again how majestic He is.
He breathed light into the galaxies with stars too vast to number and illuminated my body with His Spirit. The same hands that are big enough to measure the oceans are careful enough to cradle me with His love. He’s forever faithful, unfailing in love. He’s the Master Creator who gazes upon all He’s made and declares it good. This is the one who’s in relationship with you.
My life had so much darkness, was without clarity, and was obscure in its complexity. I was lied to and deceived by my own understanding. Yet, He chose me to be His child.
Do you know that He’s chosen you to be His child? Did you know you are the one who has access to every room in His house?
In my own family, when I entered my father’s house, I never hesitated to boldly open the door and walk right in. For, you see, even if he wasn’t home, I had the key to the door. I had unhindered access to all in his house.
Your Heavenly Father loves you, and because of that love you’re His child with full access to Him. His big, capable, strong but gentle hands are open to you. Unlike my natural father, He’s always ‘home’ and ready to give you what you need.
Today, my hope is that you’d enter into the realisation of His inescapable love. Nothing you could ever achieve will change the fact that you’re His child. Because of His love … ‘you are’.
Prayer: My Father, oh how amazingly simple but so powerfully complex is Your love! Thank You, my Father, for loving me, calling me, and challenging me. Help me to know this truth that, because of Your love, I’m Your child. In the midst of my complex life, help me to know this love deep in my spirit. Amen.
Jim Person Jim grew up in Alaska and from a small child commercial fished every summer with his family. God called him, his wife Tanya, and their four children to move to Hungary as missionaries in 2003. God then led him to join Ellel Ministries in 2005. After serving in various positions with Ellel in Central and Eastern Europe, God led them back to the United States, where he is now serving with the Ellel USA team. Jim and Tanya have a passion to see leaders restored, the church discipled and walking in God’s fullness of life and freedom. They also love mentoring the existing and developing Ellel teams wherever God leads them. Jim also has a real gift for working with the land to create a beautiful and welcoming environment.
