The whole course is exceptional very relevant to me. I have gone away with a lot to think about. I have learnt that I don't have just to cope and be so independent. God is good & loves me, even me!.... Read More...

Take Time to Worship

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
Psalm 95:6, NKJ

There are times when we seem to have no time left at all. There is so much to do, that has to be done, even in the Lord’s work. So many people seem to be relying on us and yet, in the midst of our earnest, physical activity, the Lord wants us to recognise that He’s so near to us.

When you are ‘in Christ’ there should be little difference between the spiritual and the secular. They should be as one. All of life can be God-related whatever we are doing - as is seen in much of the Hebrew culture. During the ‘Healing Through Creativity’ course, we encourage people to let their activity involve their spirits; even to let their hands pray as they are making something. Often healing comes through expressing outwardly, something that is going on inside of you. When you are creating something, you may be surprised to find the Lord enters into what you are doing, for He is the Creator, and we’re made in His image.

As we come to pray that’s the very time to worship. Let’s not come with a list of needs before we enter that moment of worship. For the Lord inhabits the praises of His people. Often the answer to our prayers is there, in His powerful presence. Let’s ask ourselves when was the last time we really connected with the Father’s heart and touched heaven?

The result of taking time to worship will be that His peace that passes understanding, His heavenly wisdom, and His unquenchable love will pour over you. So take time to look up and worship the Lord in your activity and time will stand still for you in that moment.

Prayer: Lord, I want to worship You with all that I am, that Your will, may be done in my life, on earth, as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
