Jesus welcomed the people, taught them about the Kingdom of God and healed those in need. Luke 9:11

The whole course is exceptional very relevant to me. I have gone away with a lot to think about. I have learnt that I don't have just to cope and be so independent. God is good & loves me, even me!.... Read More...

Is Somebody Telling You Not to Read This?

Jesus drew near and said to them, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptise them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20, GNB

At the end of His earthly ministry, Jesus gave His authority and His command to His disciples – go and make more disciples! So, all Christians are disciples, learners, followers of ‘The Way’. But what were they (and therefore what are we) supposed to learn and obey? The same as Jesus first told them – to go and ‘proclaim that the Kingdom is near, heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers and cast out demons’ (Matthew 10:7-8).

Somebody doesn’t want us to know this.

Jesus gave His disciples (and therefore us) the authority to do this, as long as we truly are His disciples. He wouldn’t tell us to do something that we couldn’t do, but in Christ, we are able to do all these things. In Christ, we have access to the Father, and in Christ, we have authority over the Enemy.

Somebody doesn’t want us to know this either.

So are you willing to take this challenge to read and obey Jesus’ final instructions? It’s a command for all who believe! What’s more, it’s the way to defeat the ‘somebody’ who is our enemy.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I have read Your final instructions, and I know that they are addressed to me. Please help me to understand them and obey them, for the sake of Your Kingdom and Your glory. Amen.
