The whole course is exceptional very relevant to me. I have gone away with a lot to think about. I have learnt that I don't have just to cope and be so independent. God is good & loves me, even me!.... Read More...

Holding on to Hope

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.
Hebrews 10:23, NLT

It seemed such a small, insignificant thing. Several months ago, I lost one very small earring while visiting friends. She assured me that we would pray, she would watch for it, and it would turn up. Almost three months later I was looking at the remaining earring and feeling the loss. They were a gift from my husband a couple of years ago. I prayed and gave God my sense of loss and sadness. I wondered if it was time to give up and throw away the earring, but I felt I needed to keep trusting God. I asked Him to restore this and many other things that I am missing currently. Within a week or two I was given a bag that my friend left in the office for me. In it was my missing earring!

I felt God speaking to my spirit to not give up hope for those promises which have not yet been fulfilled. He is working all things together for our good in His timing. Let me encourage you, dear reader, to not give up. Remember the promises God has given you. Hold on to them, even if they feel as small and insignificant as a tiny earring. God always fulfils His promises, and, even if it seems impossible and the enemy has removed everything, wait patiently for the Lord. He is working for your good and for His glory.

Prayer: Lord, thank You that You care about everything in our lives and You can use small things to encourage us to keep hoping and waiting for Your promises to be fulfilled. You know that I have been feeling hopeless about (insert your own words here). I give You my disappointment, sadness, and grief, and I ask You to help me hold on to Your hope and truth. Amen.
