The whole course is exceptional very relevant to me. I have gone away with a lot to think about. I have learnt that I don't have just to cope and be so independent. God is good & loves me, even me!.... Read More...

Seeds of the Kingdom

Hang on in There

by Pam Smith

I am with you, and will protect you, wherever you go, and will bring you safely to this land; I will be with you constantly until I have finished giving you all that I am promising.
Genesis 28:15, LB

When the way is dark and you can’t see the path, it’s wonderful to have someone beside you who knows the way and can see ahead. It’s a great comfort to take their arm and hang on, knowing that you’re safe and can trust them to get you to your destination.

So it is with the Lord - to hang on to His faithful promises, knowing He won’t let us go. He’s constantly with us and knows the road. He’s planned our destination and will hold us if our feet slip. He will speak comfortingly to us as we listen to His directions.
If change comes into our life, He’ll be there to bring us through and give us His promised peace of heart and mind. When unexpected situations arise, instead of letting go of our faith and floundering in distress, let’s hang on to the Lord, and He’ll bring us into His ‘resting place’. Let His joy be the strength of our heart as we face that change.

Let’s thank Him for what He’s planned for us, and turn our eyes upon Jesus, for He is our treasure and our goal. We’ll never be separated from His sustaining love ‘and underneath are his everlasting arms’ (Deuteronomy 33:27).

‘Be strong! Be courageous! Do not be afraid of them. For the Lord your God will be with you. He will neither fail you nor forsake you’ (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Prayer: Dear Lord, I’m so grateful that I don’t have to walk alone, and Your constant love surrounds me. I can hang on to You because I know You’re holding me and will never let me go whatever happens, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
