Jesus welcomed the people, taught them about the Kingdom of God and healed those in need. Luke 9:11

The whole course is exceptional very relevant to me. I have gone away with a lot to think about. I have learnt that I don't have just to cope and be so independent. God is good & loves me, even me!.... Read More...

And they sang a new song with these words: “You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it. For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.”
Revelation 5:9, NLT

I do find it exciting to read about encouraging Christian testimonies, but it is even better to meet people in person and listen to them describing their lives and what God has done and is doing. I have had many such opportunities to meet Christians from around the world and marvel at the rich variety of ways God has intervened in their lives.

It makes me look forward to eternity in the New Jerusalem and our worldwide family dwelling in love and unity. It is Father God’s loving family, and we are already given a foretaste of that from time to time. I love meeting Christians from countries and cultures that are so different to mine but finding that we all know and love the Lord Jesus.

‘After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. And they were shouting with a great roar, “Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!”’ (Revelation 7:9-10).

But at the present time we have to acknowledge troubles and spiritual darkness exist and we are to do what we can to bring the Kingdom of heaven to the world we live in. It is a great blessing for me to have been involved for many years in Ellel Ministries, which is an international organisation raised up to do the healing ministry of the Lord Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Over the years I have discovered there are many ways to bring healing. Yes, it is in the prayer ministry, and the teaching, but it is also in encouraging people to experience their healing together through such activities as funny games, doing painting or collage, creative writing, singing new songs and old hymns, or enjoying the beauty of God’s creation far away from traffic, noise and busyness.

The Kingdom of heaven will find its ultimate fulfilment in eternity when there will be no more suffering and pain.

I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever”’ (Revelation 21:3-4).

Liz Griffin lived for 20 years as an expatriate in South Africa, Bahrain and Japan, as her husband Paul worked for an international oil company.
