The whole course is exceptional very relevant to me. I have gone away with a lot to think about. I have learnt that I don't have just to cope and be so independent. God is good & loves me, even me!.... Read More...

Every Good Work

And God is able to bless you abundantly so that in all things, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:8, NIV

As I contemplated the new year and all it brings (including some new items on my plate), I felt tension rising up in me. I know that resistance is not futile, and I sure did resist that tension! I repeatedly reminded myself that our Father will give me directions, going forward, one step at a time.

It was then that I ‘happened’ upon this verse: ‘And God is able to bless you abundantly so that in all things, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work’ (2 Corinthians 9:8). It went straight into my spirit. Abundantly! All that I need! Every good work! Putting this alongside the truth that Abba equips you and me for the things He calls us to, but not the things we take on without Him, it really brings it all into perspective.

As we step into new areas which He calls us to, we can trust that He will make us able to do it all in a manner that brings peace and pleases Him, as long as we stay connected, turning to Him, day by day, moment by moment.

I have learned to hold everything in an open hand, allowing Him to remove some things, even as He gives me new ones. I’ve heard Him saying more than once, “If you hold on tight-fisted to what you have, your hand is not open to receive the new things that I want to put into it.”

I hope this is as encouraging to you as it has been to me. He blesses us abundantly so in all things we will have all we need to thrive (abound) in every good work.
