The whole course is exceptional very relevant to me. I have gone away with a lot to think about. I have learnt that I don't have just to cope and be so independent. God is good & loves me, even me!.... Read More...

Do Not Worry

For this reason I say to you, do not be anxious for your life..
Matthew 6:25, NASB

The cares of this world are many and we can easily find ourselves under their pressure, anxious, unhappy and unsatisfied. We begin to ask, “Where is God in all of this?” I thought God is love, but He doesn’t seem to be loving me. Why hasn’t He rescued me, after all, I am a Christian. I tithe, go to church, read the Bible, and pray.

But, have we obeyed God? That’s the question. Believing God is not enough! Jesus said, ‘He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him’ (John 14:21).

Are you anxious and worrying and not hearing from God about what you should be doing? Are you operating in your own understanding without direct guidance from God? It could be that you are missing obedience to some of His commandments. Here are two direct imperatives, commandments that aren’t optional extras: ‘Do not worry’; and ‘Seek first the kingdom of God.’ These commandments are both contained in the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25 -34. Jesus tells us that the Father knows we need food, drink and clothing and He will provide these things for us if we seek His kingdom and stop being anxious.

Lord I choose to stop worrying, but I can’t by myself. I now give You the specific items that I’m concerned about. I ask that You would resolve these according to Your wishes and ways. I give You my fear that things won’t work out in my favour. Please forgive me for holding these things inside me and trying to resolve these issues by myself. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
