The whole course is exceptional very relevant to me. I have gone away with a lot to think about. I have learnt that I don't have just to cope and be so independent. God is good & loves me, even me!.... Read More...

All Things

by Tracy Bankuti

In all things God works for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28, NIV

Our heavenly Father often chooses the most unique moments to share His heart with us. On a recent Sunday afternoon, my husband and I joyfully looked on as our son pledged his love and obedience to God while at the same time committing his life to his new bride, promising to forsake all others.

The Lord reminded us this day, that both marriage and covenant originate in God’s heart not man’s. As our son and his bride spoke their vows to one another before God and family, a spiritual transaction took place. No one heard it or saw it, but none the less it happened. What you bind on earth will be bound in heaven (Matthew 18:18).

Our lives are full of silent spiritual transactions that have quietly moulded and shaped us for good and for bad. The moment of our conception, our conversion, and our baptism are all moments in time that took us deeper into the heart of our Father.

But what about the moments of rejection, betrayal, abuse and loss? These too have affected our journey with the Lord. No matter how loud in the physical, these silent, spiritual transactions have had power and influence to take us in the opposite direction, away from our Father’s heart.

Romans 8:28 states a powerful truth, `In all things God works for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose`. In our son’s marriage and new life with his now wife, God is working, but the principle of Romans 8:28 is not only for happy occasions. It also applies to every area of our lives. In the loss of a family member, God is working, in the abuse you have suffered, God is working, in the rejection, betrayal, pain, troubled marriage, lost child, accident, trauma, sickness and every broken relationship, God works and is working for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. (Loving God means choosing and obeying His Son Jesus).

In the simplest terms, Romans 8:28 means that God can turn it around. He can take what the enemy has stolen and meant for evil and redeem it. ‘Redeem’ by definition, means to buy back, to recover, to win back, reinstate, to restore.

God is not the author of pain sickness or abuse, He is the redeemer of such things and deeply desires to bring wholeness, healing, and restoration to `all things` that have occurred in and around your life and family.

Is there an area of your life that needs to be won back, restored, recovered?
