The Truth About Relationships (Modular School B)
Do you want to experience real joy and blessing from your relationships?
Although God has created us to relate with others - our neighbours, work-mates, fellow Christians, marriage partner and members of our families - these relationships can be flawed and become a source of pain to us.
This much needed course (formerly called 'Right Relationships') seeks to bring understanding as to what goes wrong and instructive practical help to improve our relationships and begin to restore those that seem beyond repair.
The vitally important keys shared on this course will equip those struggling and seeking help for themselves as well as those who desire to bring hope and healing to others. It will enrich and enhance the potential within each one of us to enjoy our relationships with God and with others.
Right relationships both with God and other people are central to the whole of life. This course presents important teaching and practical guidelines covering the following:
Features of relationships
Looks at the different types of relationships that we all enter into and explores the level of involvement and commitment that we need to contribute to make them work.
Establishing boundaries
Unless boundaries are understood and clearly established there will be wrong expectations leading to lack of respect, misunderstandings and conflict.
How relationships are damaged and broken
This important teaching looks at such issues as breach of confidence, betrayal, unfaithfulness, dishonesty, unfairness, inconsistency and thoughtlessness that severely damage the trust element within our relationships and result in deep hurt and pain.
Restoring broken relationships
Presents practical steps to reconciliation and restoration explaining the place of repentance and forgiveness and stressing the need for restitution, the re-establishment of the trust element and the re-ordering of previous lifestyles or heart attitudes in order to bring complete healing into broken relationships.
During the ministry night there will be an opportunity to respond to the teaching and receive prayer.
