Jesus welcomed the people, taught them about the Kingdom of God and healed those in need. Luke 9:11

Building a Ministry Team

Building a Ministry Team

Many pastors are aware of the needs for prayer ministry within their congregations but can easily become overwhelmed by the time demands of trying to help. We believe that a well-trained prayer ministry team is an essential component of a local church, providing a safe place for those in need to find real help and healing for the issues in their lives.

We have a number of training events and other resources that can help to assist pastors and leaders in building a strong ministry team.

The following options are available:

  • Church Visits
An Ellel team can visit your church (or group of churches) to lead one or more training event(s) specifically aimed at the 'how to' of prayer ministry. Prior to this visit it is vital for the church leadership to be supportive of such a team being established and the initial members of a prayer ministry team should have been identified. If your church is not at that stage yet, then a more general church visit can be held to share about the healing ministry and those who are interested (or identified by the church leadership) could receive further training as appropriate.
  • Training at our centres
Ellel Ministries holds a wide variety of training events which range from one day in length to a full academic year programme. Some events are specific in their content and others offer a broader approach. Some are aimed specifically at prayer ministry training. You can find out more about the short courses here and about the in-depth training events here
  • Books, audios and DVDs
Another very effective way to receive training is through books, ebooks, MP3s, CDs and DVDs. Ellel Ministries has a wide variety of resources available which offer excellent teaching on many subjects. Check out our online store for more information.
