Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know
Jeremiah 33 :3, NIV

Earlier this year, when I reached a significant milestone in life, my family attempted to launch me well and truly into the 21st Century by giving me an iPad.

With access to countless ‘APPS’ (applications) designed to inform, entertain, educate communicate and a lot, lot more, the iPad has vast potential and far reaching possibilities and is something I’m looking forward to exploring more fully and finding useful in this ‘high tech’ age.

So far I have only been able to ‘scratch the surface’ in an attempt to discover something of all the features and functions that it has to offer. Through this very portable and user friendly device there would appear to be endless resources, still to discover and utilize as appropriate.

The iPad provides instant access to the World Wide Web. For this to happen two important things need to be in place:

1. The battery of the iPad has to be charged.
2. There needs to be a wireless connection to a Broadband service.

If either of these are not available, it cannot provide what it is designed to do.

Isn’t that a little like us and God?

Unless we keep our spiritual batteries charged up - praying, reading our bibles, worshipping, sharing fellowship with other Christians and making use of the connection that Christ provided through the cross, we shall never be able to fully appreciate or appropriate all that His sacrifice has made available to us.

I only use my iPad from time to time, when I need to, but everything that is available through it is there constantly.

We can be like that with God, can’t we?

He wants us to be in constant contact with Him, discovering, exploring and enjoying all the benefits that come from that relationship with Him.

Praise the Lord, O my soul and forget not all His benefits...’Ps103 v2

Prayer: Dear Lord, please forgive me for at times only turning to you when I need you. Thank you that you are always with me and wanting me to enjoy relationship with you and to explore more fully all the benefits that come from that relationship. Amen.
