The Pathway of Life

Don’t let your mind wander off or drift towards the ungodly. The traps and snares of the evil one lurk there. The tempter who would lure you away from the path. Keep resolutely to the way of safety and security which leads to eternal peace and joy, and to the treasure of the Lord’s blessings.
Keep your eyes fixed on the road ahead, where God is waiting with infinite patience, gently guiding without pressure. Pressure comes from the enemy who would push and entice you away from the path of peace. In God alone is life everlasting, nurtured by the Holy Spirit.
‘Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid’ (John 14:27). Open up the casket of peace, which is not locked. You have it in the palm of your hand, just waiting to lift the lid, where the blessing of a godly life awaits along with all the treasures of heaven. This is the way. Direct your focus unwaveringly and walk towards it.
Cast your burdens on the Lord. They are not too heavy for Him to carry. In fact, He’s waiting for you to share them with Him now. He has already trodden the path of pain and suffering and overcome. Walk boldly in His strength. He has made a way. “I have trodden the winepress alone, and from the peoples no one was with me” (Isaiah 63:3). He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is The Word of God. Our faith lies in Him who has overcome. All has been accomplished. It is finished, so that we may know our victory is in Him.
Let us walk triumphantly in that victory and rest in all He has achieved. “Be strong and courageous.. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God goes with you.” “My rod and my staff they comfort you.” Comfort and peace are from God alone, attained only by the death of His Son.
Let your heart know the strength of God’s victory over evil, and a love that is firm and unshakable. This is your heritage. Let no one take it from you. Though the way be long. let your heart be strong, He’ll be there for you at the end of the road.
Why waste time and anguish over your fears? Why waste energy stumbling and falling on a route that is strewn with potholes? In quietness and confidence is your strength. The wages of righteousness are everlasting peace, and ‘this righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.’ Peace is not to be found in this world or in its ways. In Christ alone is our peace, purchased through pain. Love is revealed through His suffering and joy in His victory.
Walk with Him and discover the treasures of life, forsaking all that glitters and lures towards death. Walk the way of holiness, which is the pathway of life and unspeakable joy. Jesus said, “I am the way.” Let us walk in it.
