Are we starting to commend ourselves again? Or we do not, like some [false teachers], need written credentials or letters of recommendation to you or from you, [do we]? [No] you yourselves are our letter of recommendation (our credentials), written in your hearts, to be known (perceived, recognized) and read by everybody.
You show and make obvious that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, not written with ink but with [the] Spirit of [the] living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
Letter of Recommendation

2 Corinthians 3:1-3, amp
This scripture passage, 2 Corinthians 3:1-3, jumped out at me, and I felt prompted to write a letter of recommendation of the Lord Jesus for those who don`t know Him. This is what I wrote.
"I`ve had the pleasure and privilege of knowing the Lord Jesus for the last fourteen years. I`ve come to know Him in many different capacities and in different ways.
He`s been like a true husband, companion and faithful friend. He`s ever present and always attentive, with a great eye for detail. He`s proven to be supportive and loving, even when I get things wrong.
He has excellent listening skills, enabling me to offload unnecessary concerns and worries. His listening skills are so finely tuned that He often reminds of things I`ve forgotten. He`s open to dialogue when there are issues to be addressed, and He has an amazing way of finding things that I`ve misplaced. He truly is a finder of all things.
He has incredible wisdom that no one can fathom. His guidance and direction have been an invaluable asset and He`s written a book, which I highly recommend. I read it any moment I can, because it`s so inspiring, you just can`t put it down!
He`s capable of doing more than you can think or imagine, always going the extra mile. He`s an excellent problem solver! There`s truly no problem too big or too small for Him to resolve. I personally think He loves the challenging situations that are against all the odds.
He takes great care at being on time with every project He undertakes. As far as His character is concerned, He`s slow to anger always rejoicing and singing, and is a joy to be around. He truly is the most loving, kind, compassionate person I`ve ever met. He never criticises or judges, but always gently convicts and encourages.
Don`t get me wrong, He certainly stands up for justice and righteousness, and will always defend the weak and the outcast. Jesus has proven to be the most trustworthy person, treating others with sensitivity and care. You can definitely rest assured that if you give Jesus the position of Managing Director of your life you`ll acquire the greatest asset on earth!"
Prayer: Lord, please forgive me for the times I`ve disobeyed Your wise decisions and gone my own way. Help me to be a letter of recommendation, written on my heart, so that I emanate You and Your Spirit, and not my own flesh and brokenness. Lord, allow people to see Your light through me, and hide the imperfections I pray, as I go into the world where there`s no light. Lord, may we all be a love letter to this broken world. Amen.
