Jesus welcomed the people, taught them about the Kingdom of God and healed those in need. Luke 9:11

How Great is Our God

by Diane Watson

And as I watched, all of them were singing with thunderous voices: “Worthy is Christ the Lamb who was slaughtered to receive great power and might, wealth and wisdom, and honour, glory, and praise!” Then every living being joined the angelic choir. Every creature in heaven and on earth, under the earth, in the sea, and everything in them, were worshipping with one voice, saying: “Praise, honour, glory, and dominion be to God-Enthroned and to Christ the Lamb forever and ever!” Then the four living creatures responded: “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders threw themselves facedown to the ground and worshipped.
Revelation 5:12-14, TPT

As I have been reading through the book of Revelation, the question comes to mind, “Do we really understand who Jesus and God are?” They are awesome and mighty, I believe, beyond our comprehension. Even those in heaven with them throw themselves facedown to worship!

The depth of who God is needs to be searched for, seeking His face, His promises, His love, because of our love and obedience to Him. At times, we may be overwhelmed at God’s mercy, love and power, and perhaps we’ll never comprehend His greatness until we meet Him face to face. But we can seek Him. He wants to be found.

When our spirit is full and overflowing with the Holy Spirit, then we’ll find that our lives are fruitful, pouring out from the abundance we’ve received. We’ll be living for Him and not ourselves, honouring others, serving others, and doing it with pure motives of bringing joy to God’s heart. We won’t be seeking acceptance or acknowledgement, but we’ll find sheer delight in serving our great God, because of our love for the One who’s given His life for us and redeemed us from the pit.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, may I never take You for granted but worship You in spirit and truth, seeking more and more of Your presence in my life. I want to be a vessel for You, to pour out Your love and life into this hurt and broken world, just as You’ve poured out Your life for me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
