Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love him.

As children of God we have so much access to the blessings of God through Christ that the Bible declares, ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those love Him.’

Through the parable of the Prodigal Son, we see that, on returning home, when he meets his father, he is practising what to say. He is so full of guilt and remorse because of his past behaviour that he is doubting his position as a son, but everything changes when he actually meets his father.

That moment of meeting changes everything, for he discovers that his father not only welcomes him with open arms but presents him with a robe to cover his past shame and nakedness, a ring of authority confirming his right as a son, and his father also kills the fatted calf for a time of rejoicing and celebration.

Knowing that we belong to our Heavenly Father places us in a position where we can not only be secure in our identity in Christ but know the unsearchable riches of Christ.

The enemy works overtime to rob us of our identity. He tried this with Jesus but failed miserably. But many of God’s children have been deceived into living as paupers instead of living as sons and daughters of the living God. Why would anyone want to live one minute longer shrouded under the influence of the kingdom of darkness when Father God has made every provision for them to know the peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and to be seated in heavenly places in Christ under His protection (Ephesians 2:6). We are our Heavenly Father’s sons or daughters, and, as such, we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17).

We all have access to an unexpected grace, whatever our circumstances.  So, choose life in all its fullness today. After all, it is rightfully yours by divine decree.
