So she laughed silently to herself and said, “How could a worn-out woman like me enjoy such pleasure, especially when my master-my husband-is also so old?”
Genesis 18:12, NLT

Sara laughed when she heard about getting pregnant. Is there anything that the Lord has told you and it seems laughable? In your understanding, it’s impossible, so, you’ve already discounted it. But it qualifies for God to handle.

“Is there anything too hard for the Lord to do”? That was the question posed to Sara by God in Genesis 18:14, and the question He is posing to us today. Sometimes, as human beings, we find ourselves in the valley of doubts, and the Lord graciously reminds us of who He is by posing this question to us. We see this in Jeremiah 32:27, where God asks Jeremiah if anything is too difficult for Him (God).

What Sara seems not to have noticed is that it came out of God’s mouth. God’s word does not return to Him void. It accomplishes its mission. His word brings that which was not in existence to existence. That’s how creation happened.

What Sara was longing for, to conceive a child, was already too late as far as she was concerned, but our God is out of time and is not restricted by it. His timing is the best, and when His timing comes, He makes everything beautiful.

We know that Jesus provides the answer to everything, and He literally answered this question of whether anything is too hard for the Lord to do. In Matthew 19:26, Jesus said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible”.

Just as Sara, in her doubts, needed to hear this answer, we too need to hear it, in our spirit. So, stop laughing and start believing, for we serve a big, big God. Are you in a place full of doubts? The Lord is asking you today, “Is there anything that’s too hard for the Lord to do?”
