God Still Does Miracles

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.

Recently we travelled for a weekend course and there was a terrible storm. God saw us safely through, despite many delays, and we had a wonderful weekend teaching on Moving Under the Anointing of the Holy Spirit. God really moved and it was a wonderful weekend! We arrived home late Sunday night, very tired. As we unloaded the car, I realised that my favourite hat and scarf were missing. I was devastated! I had just got them a few months ago in Scotland. I knew that I had taken them with us, as I remembered very clearly folding my scarf and putting it in my hat and putting them in the car.

I started thinking about all the times we were in and out of the car and how strongly the wind was blowing and how much snow there was, and I just knew that they were gone forever. My husband was very encouraging and told me to write and see if they were left in the house where we stayed. (I thought it was impossible, because I had decided to leave them in the car until I wanted them, but I wrote anyway.)

The owner hadn`t gone to the house yet, but said she would look for them when she went. Later, she was at a shop in the town and saw my hat and scarf! She recognized them as mine because I had described them in my email. Someone had found them on the street and taken them to the store. I received an email back with the subject, "God still does miracles!" I really feel that it was a miracle that they were found. One of my daughters said that they probably fell out of the car on the highway and God blew it to where it would be found! I felt this experience was a good reminder that God really does care about the little details of our lives, and we shouldn`t be discouraged.

The verses leading up to today`s verse are talking about how God takes care of the birds of the air and the flowers in the field, and he cares even more about us, so we shouldn`t worry about what we will eat or wear. God will take care of all the details if we seek first His kingdom and His righteousness.

Be encouraged today that God cares for you and will take care of all your needs as you seek to follow him and do his will.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that You care about me and know everything I need. Thank You that You are the miracle worker and that You still work miracles to provide for us. Amen.
