“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony….”
Revelation 12:11a, NIV

This week I was looking at the Ellel online shop which sells resources produced by Ellel Ministries. I myself wrote a book called “Lynda” (published by Sovereign World Ltd and sold through the Ellel shop) six years ago, in which I told my own story of facing accident and trauma, but how God brought me to healing and wholeness. Generally speaking, I am a quiet and private person. When I was asked to write my story and tell my testimony of what God had done I found it hard, because I had to let go of that privacy. I was told in the publishing process that in sharing some of the more intimate aspects of my story people would be able to relate and connect with my story more. So, I had to let go of my reluctance, and believe by faith that the Lord would use my story to bless people.

As I looked at the Reader Comments about my book this week I was totally amazed at some new comments that had been recently posted. The Readers were so encouraging. The number of people who have said in the past six years that they could not put the book down until they finished has staggered me. I think back to my reluctance to share my story in such a public way, and I am so grateful that God gave me the courage to share the story. Countless numbers of people have been blessed by it all over the world.

You might find it hard to share your story of what God has done in your life. But everyone who has come to follow Jesus has a story to tell. I encourage you today to be willing to give it a go and be open to letting the Holy Spirit give you opportunities. Think of a few points about your life before Christ and then a few points about how your life has changed through your walk with Him. You may have experienced Jesus’ healing in your life. Be prepared to tell people about it. Be open also to bigger opportunities too that the Lord might unfold for you, such as publishing your testimony, like I did.

One of the biggest motivators for me in sharing my story is contained in today's verse. Did you know that in speaking our testimony we triumph over the enemy, Satan! That was enough for me to say YES! So be bold - we are covered by the blood of the Lamb, and, as we speak our testimony, Satan is overcome, and Jesus is glorified! Praise the Lord.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for saving me and changing my life. Thank You also for all the things You have done in my life to make me the person that I am today. Please, Lord, give me opportunities to share the testimony of how You have changed my life. Open doors for me. Use me. I praise You, Lord, that through the word of our testimony we triumph over Satan and we bring You glory. Amen.

Lynda Scott was first introduced to Ellel Ministries at a conference led by Peter and Fiona Horrobin in 1996 when she was miraculously healed following a devastating accident. Lynda has continued her association with Ellel Ministries over the years and has recently written her story “Lynda: From Accident & Trauma to Healing & Wholeness.” She lives in Australia with her husband Leigh and 3 children, who are all at school. She works in a local health clinic, as well as helping her husband with the administration of their beef cattle farm.
