Rosh Hashanah (Trumpets) Service and Celebration

The Feast of Trumpets is the first of the fall appointed times set by the Lord in Leviticus 23. It is also known as Rosh Hashanah (meaning Head or Beginning of the Year), The Day of Judgment, the Day of the Sounding of the Shofar (ram's horn), and the Day of Remembrance.

Prophetically, this celebration looks forward to the return of Messiah Jesus. So this service will be a time of thanksgiving and worship with a short time of teaching.

Recognized as the civil New Year on the Hebrew calendar, this day signals the beginning of what the Jewish people call the "Ten Days of Awe."  It is so termed because, on the 10th day after The Feast of Trumpets, falls the highest and most holy day of the entire Hebrew calendar, and the next appointed time set by the Lord in Leviticus 23 - The Day of Atonement - known in Hebrew as Yom Kippur.  The Days of Awe are reserved for serious reflection upon one's life and behavior over the past year.

At all of God's Appointed Times, including the Feast of Trumpets, offerings are brought to bless the Lord and remember His goodness to us.  So we encourage you to bring an offering to the Lord to the service.

Children

Children are permitted to attend. However, we do not recommend bringing children under 10 years old because children must be with their parents at all times and be able to sit through 2 hours of service. No childcare is provided and our facility has no place like a lobby or cry room for children to be taken.
