Remnant Young Adult Events - Fear & Anxiety

Welcome to Remnant, a program dedicated to nurturing and empowering young adults who are deeply committed to their relationship with God or seek to be so.

Our guiding verse, Isaiah 6:8, encapsulates the spirit of Remnant: "Then I heard the Lord asking, 'Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?' I said, 'Here I am. Send me.'" This program is designed for individuals who are serious about their faith in Jesus Christ and aspire to lead a life set apart from the ordinary. Remnant is a community for young people who seek more than just the status quo; it's a space for those who desire to encounter Jesus in a genuine and authentic way.

At Remnant, we provide a supportive environment where young adults can grow in their faith, connect with like-minded individuals, and embark on a journey of healing and discipleship. Through a range of events, workshops, and resources, we strive to equip you with the tools and knowledge needed to live out your faith boldly. Join us on this incredible journey as we seek to be messengers for God, saying, "Here I am. Send me." Together, as a faithful Remnant, we can make a meaningful impact on our world and draw closer to our Savior in the process.

This month's topic: Freedom from Fear & Anxiety

Anyone who struggles with fear and anxiety knows just how debilitating it can be. It eats away on the inside, robbing us of peace, security, and life in all its fullness. Eventually we learn to live with the fears and worries and can build strong coping mechanisms around our lives to ensure the thing we dread can’t come close. Life ends up restricted, but we get used to the restrictions and we don’t realize we are missing out on the fullness of life that Jesus won for us on the Cross. Some common fears and anxieties for many people include:

  • The future
  • Being rejected or abandoned
  • Being a failure or a disappointment
  • Death
  • Illness
  • Children
  • Money
  • Being hurt

… and there are many, many more. Sometimes people are ashamed of the worries and fears of their heart and hide them away on the inside hoping they will go away.  Unfortunately the enemy delights in this because it ultimately keeps us from our Father God’s abundance of love, and so the enemy does all he can to keep those fears and anxieties active.

But there is HOPE! Jesus came to heal the broken-hearted and to release the captives – He is still doing that today!
