Remnant Young Adult Events - Dealing with Emotions

Welcome to Remnant, a program dedicated to nurturing and empowering young adults who are deeply committed to their relationship with God or seek to be so.

Our guiding verse, Isaiah 6:8, encapsulates the spirit of Remnant: "Then I heard the Lord asking, 'Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?' I said, 'Here I am. Send me.'" This program is designed for individuals who are serious about their faith in Jesus Christ and aspire to lead a life set apart from the ordinary. Remnant is a community for young people who seek more than just the status quo; it's a space for those who desire to encounter Jesus in a genuine and authentic way.

At Remnant, we provide a supportive environment where young adults can grow in their faith, connect with like-minded individuals, and embark on a journey of healing and discipleship. Through a range of events, workshops, and resources, we strive to equip you with the tools and knowledge needed to live out your faith boldly. Join us on this incredible journey as we seek to be messengers for God, saying, "Here I am. Send me." Together, as a faithful Remnant, we can make a meaningful impact on our world and draw closer to our Savior in the process.

WHO IS IT FOR?                     

• Young Adults ages 18-30!
• Young people looking to build a healthy community alongside fellow Christians who are also looking to live a life that makes a difference.
• Ideal for those who are looking to grow in their walk with Jesus and are serious about their faith.
• Those who are interested in pursuing individual healing.

Then they will rebuild the ancient ruins, They will raise up the former devastations; And they will repair the ruined cities,
The desolations of many generations.

Meals

All meals and snacks will be provided, but no special dietary needs can be accommodated. Attendees are welcome to bring their own food but we have limited refrigeration and one microwave for heating of food for meals brought by attendees.

This month's topic: Godly Emotions

From the ups to the downs, emotions are an essential part of being human. Without them our relationships can feel empty and lacking depth. It’s very difficult to have a real relationship without a healthy connection to our emotions.

Yet many of us struggle with our emotions, often trying to deny and even crush them because they seem to be the cause of our problems. The reality is that some emotions seem very hard to handle; emotions that feel overwhelming, emotions that seem unacceptable and even emotions that feel destructive.

This weekend will help us understand how God wants us to deal with our emotions so that they do not become toxic and affect our lives in negative ways.
