Yom Kippur - The Day of Atonement
Yom Kippur, known in our English translations of the Bible as “The Day of Atonement”, is the highest holy day among the the Appointed Times of the Lord outlined in Leviticus 23. For those who believe in Jesus, it is a day to fast, pray and reflect and ask the Lord to search our hearts. It is a time of repentance and thanking the Lord for His mercy. It is also a time to thank the Lord for the provision of The Lamb of God who has made atonement for our sins.
Our first service is held on the Eve of Yom Kippur. We will follow a Messianic liturgy of prayers and scripture reading that are based on the theme of atonement of our sins. The service will last approximately 2 hours. At the end of 24 hour fast, we will have a second shorter service involving prayers and scripture reading to close out Yom Kippur and we will break the fast together by bringing our own meals and eating together at the land.

Sunday, September 24th 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
This will be a service where some teaching is shared about the Messianic singificance of Yom Kippur. We will encourage everyone to engage in a 24 hour fast starting at sundown on this day. A Messianic liturgy will be engaged with including music and prayers related to Yom Kippur. Children may attend with their parents. However, we do not recommend you bring children who are unable to sit quietly for two hours as we do not provide childcare and we have no inside area, like a lobby or sitting area, outside of the meeting space where you can take a child.
