May God Himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together – spirit, soul and body - and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:23, TMB

We believe that God has called Ellel Ministries to welcome people, teach them about the Kingdom of God and bring His healing to those in need (Luke 9:11). It would be hard to find a more succinct description of what God’s healing really means, than that which is given above in today’s verse.

In just a few words, this scripture, which we so often refer to on our weekend courses and retreats, reminds us of how God made us and how the sin of the world has so defiled and broken human lives. In receiving Jesus, we have been brought back into relationship with the One who made us and He is definitely in the restoration business, not of paintings, but of works of art which He sees as utterly priceless. That’s you and me!

Mankind, including each one of us, has many times broken covenant with the Creator of the universe. The result has been that we’ve been in the hands of a careless ruler who has been more than happy to see us do damage both to ourselves and also to one another. But now we have been redeemed! God has said to the ruler of this world, “Give them back!”

It is time for each one of us to get repaired and to let God restore His children to a fit state of holiness and wholeness, in order that He and we can enjoy the precious destiny and destination, for which He has given so much. Expert restoration is a very costly business.

Jesus will come for His bride, maybe soon, and He is giving us the opportunity now to deal with our damaged lives. He only asks that we might be willing.

Prayer: Thank You Lord that You alone can truly make us holy and whole. Amen.
