Still Waters Retreat

“He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul.” (Psalm 23)

In today’s fast-paced society, finding time to sit and reflect on life, hear from God and to enjoy the abundance of His creation is becoming more and more difficult. With each increasing pressure, the time we spend with God, as well as just time for ourselves, is diminished.  Yet, our human spirits yearn for these times of restoration; time to rest, time to pray, time to enjoy God’s Word, time to just ‘be’.

A Still Waters Retreat is the perfect antidote to life’s constant demands. There is no programme of events or heavy teaching schedule, only a gentle devotional over breakfast times and some sharing by the fireside each evening in the comfort of our drawing room. The rest of the day is free for you to focus on God, to listen to His voice and to enjoy some relaxing time to yourself. Enjoy beautiful Blairmore House and its restful surroundings at your leisure.

What better location for such an event than in the amazing beauty of and peace of Blairmore House?  With spacious and luxurious accommodation, nestled in a large woodland estate, surrounded by the stunning vista of the highlands of Scotland, Blairmore offers comfort, seclusion and creative inspiration.

Our well equipped creativity room is open during your stay, for you to enjoy some personal time of creative expression if you wish.  With an abundance of craft and art material at your disposal, you can easily while away hours of personal time, allowing God to speak through your expression, as well as enjoying yourself.

Our prayer is that Still Waters will offer you the spiritual and physical nurture you need to continue on in life, with a renewed vision and heart for God’s purposes in your life. Who knows what God can do in you when you dedicate quality time to being with Him!

We expect these to be popular events and would encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment.

Covid-19 Notice

We are very much looking forward to opening the doors of our centres again following the lifting of certain restrictions in the UK. Ellel Ministries falls within a number of sectors including hospitality, retail and a registered place of worship. All of these sectors are now able to function within government guidelines. We are therefore working very hard to ensure the safety of all of our guests, team and volunteers and there are some key changes that are important to note.

We will have enhanced cleaning and safety procedures in place and will keep guest rooms and public areas such as corridors and receptions at the highest standard of cleanliness throughout your stay. We’ve introduced new measures to ensure social distancing guidance is easy to follow and we’ve made many of our services contact free.

Accommodation will be allocated in line with the current Government regulations.   Our prices are for shared accommodation; however, that is not possible at the moment.  We will aim to update our website if regulations allow for a return to our normal policy.  For now, accommodation will be limited to one person per bedroom other than for those attending an event from the same household (e.g. a married couple).

Worship times will not involve group singing and there will not be any one-to-one personal ministry opportunities. Instead, the teacher(s) will lead prayer and ministry times from the front of the meeting, inviting the Holy Spirit to work deeply in the lives of those who attend.

We look forward to welcoming you soon.
