Creative Inspirational: Watercolour and Mixed Media Painting
These enjoyable weeks offer you the opportunity to explore a variety of techniques and media in painting including watercolour, acrylics and pastels. All levels of ability are catered for with artist tuition, ranging from simple painting and drawing techniques to more complex artistry. Come and enjoy experimenting, learning or developing your own skill level.
Running two events, one for beginners and one for intermediates looking for more of a challenge, you will grow in your skills in an environment that is safe and encouraging.
BEGINNERS WEEK with John Tetley and Fiona Horrobin, 22nd - 29th June 2019
Aimed at those with little or no experience but a desire to learn how to draw and paint effectively. There will be step by step tuition, time to play and explore with textures and different painting styles as well as projects that are simple yet effective.
INTERMEDIATE WEEK with John Tetley, 12th - 19th October 2019
Aimed at those who have some experience and are seeking to take their skills to the next level. John will guide you through different styles and gently challenge your approach, taking you to the next level and maybe even further than you thought possible!
Subjects that may be covered will be such things as painting effective skies, sea, foregrounds, rivers, trees, buildings, flowers, animals, still life, sunsets and simple landscapes. It will also be possible to paint small art works for framing or in personal cards.
John Tetley is a talented and qualified artist, who will lead, guide and challenge you with gentleness and humour. There will be group led times where we will experiment with mixed media or engage in step by step tuition in how to produce a painting to delight in.
Be inspired, have fun, draw near to God and discover your God-given talents on this special holiday week.
All materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own as well.
Vision for the Creative Inspirational Weeks
Our living Creator God has put within each of us desires and gifts designed to restore and refresh our human spirits - an antidote to the stress and toil of our fallen world. These times of creative enjoyment for the human heart have been designed with this purpose in mind. To give ourselves time to enjoy the life and gifts God has given us and to enjoy them with Him.
What better place than the Highlands of Scotland to receive the Creator's inspiration? Blairmore provides a comfortable and beautiful setting for discovering your talents. In addition to the main sessions, there will be morning and evening inspiration, prayer and fellowship times.
Why not treat yourself to some creative enjoyment?
