Special Announcement about Ellel Ministries and Covid-19
19th March 2020
These are extraordinary days and we want to assure you and your family of our love and prayers at this critical time.
We have just finished our International Executive Leadership meeting at Ellel Grange. It could not have taken place at a more pertinent time, when the nations of the world are in lockdown due to the spread of Coronavirus. One thing is certain, none of this has taken God by surprise and He is with us all to comfort, sustain and guide us through this time, however long that may be.
As the family of Ellel Ministries, we are concerned for all those who come to Ellel Centres for help, for our team, volunteers, guests and the wider family of supporters. We want to assure you prayerful decisions are being taken with everyone’s best interests in our hearts to get us all through this time with God’s leading.
Steps we have taken
Here are some of the steps we have taken to ensure the welfare of our teams and guests and to safeguard the ministry:
- In the UK we are pausing all operations at our centres until the end of July. This means that our centres will not be open to guests and all courses, schools, Healing Retreats and personal ministry appointments have had to be either postponed or cancelled during this period of time.
- We are diligently following guidance and best practices from the NHS and UK government.
- We will endeavour to keep teams in continued employment – modifying how we work to include flexible schedules – so that we are ready to resume our courses and events once this crisis is over.
We are coming to you… Online!
Even though our doors will not be open to guests for the next few months, Ellel Ministries is not closing down! We are in the Lord’s hands and He is leading us. This crisis is also a day of opportunity. We have taken the decision for Ellel Ministries to offer regular online video communication for fellowship and mutual encouragement.
The Lord has filled Ellel Ministries with a ‘storehouse’ of truth from His Word and our aim is to use this opportunity to see His healing power go further than we could ever have imagined and the good news of the Gospel to be broadcast across the world via the internet. We will send out more details about this new opportunity very soon.
Supporting us through this time
Please can we ask you to pray for this precious ministry – that God would keep us safe and prepare us for a new season of fruitfulness to come. May we also ask you to consider making a donation to support the ministry financially during this time of great need. With our physical centres closed we will be without earned income from our courses and schools (around 50% of our overall income) and whilst we look to God as our provider, we do know that He uses His people.
As we share our need with you, our supporters, we are trusting God to touch hearts and open up the supply line necessary at this time. This is a time where our faith is being tested beyond anything we have experienced before so we will be so grateful if you could stand with us in prayer and, if you are able, support the work financially.
If you would like to make a donation you can do so securely online (using the button below) or by sending a cheque (payable to Ellel Ministries) to: 2020 Special Appeal, Ellel Grange, Bay Horse, Lancaster, LA2 0HN, UK.
You can also give by direct bank transfer - please click the button below and select the 'Ways to Give' tab for details. Thank you for standing with us and for your support.
As a team we will be praying for you, for our government, our nation and, especially, all those in the medical services, for an outpouring of God’s Spirit, grace and mercy during this time. He is preparing His Bride and in the midst of darkness His light will shine brightly.
Keep hold of Him, dear friends, as we walk into these days – He is with us and His love and faithfulness will never change.
Love and blessings,
Peter and Fiona Horrobin (International Directors)
Andy and Catherine Taylor (UK & Ireland Directors)
