Jesus welcomed the people, taught them about the Kingdom of God and healed those in need. Luke 9:11

I attended the watercolour painting week in 2011 and again in 2012. What a wonderful week! Blairmore is such a relaxing and beautiful environment. It was brilliant to have a whole week off just to paint, without feeling guilty that I should be doing something else! Fiona was a fantastic teacher for those of us who were beginners - she was right on our wavelength, showing us easy projects to get started with, like a scene for a card, so we had really satisfying results to encourage us.

There was lots of freedom to do your own thing if you wanted but also plenty of ideas and demonstrations. John gave us some great handouts that almost made a book on how to paint.

The bedrooms are out of this world - there was professionally handpainted wallpaper in mine! Apparently the people who book first at Blairmore get allocated the best bedrooms. It is well worth booking early because they are stunning, not to mention the bathrooms, which are also gorgeous.

But what I like best about Blairmore (and why I will be back) is the beautiful and extraordinary sense of the presence of God there.
