The vision for the Central and Eastern Europe Region
God has called us as a team to work throughout the former communist countries that were liberated politically over 20 years ago. The vision for our work was given by Isaiah and then by Jesus:"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has chosen me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed and announce that the time has come when the Lord will save his people." (Luke 4:18-19, GNB)
What does this mean in practice?
We are equipping local churches throughout this vast region to “do the things that Jesus did”, the things that he commanded his disciples to do:“Go and preach, 'The Kingdom of heaven is near!' Heal the sick, bring the dead back to life, heal those who suffer from dreaded skin diseases, and drive out demons. You have received without paying, so give without being paid.” (Matthew 10:7-8, GNB)
We therefore serve the Body of Christ in Central and Eastern Europe, Balkan and Baltic Nations, the Russian Federation, and Central Asia.
